Tuesday, April 29, 2024, at AITI Ticino Industry Association in Lugano, the event “Cyber Security: new regulatory obligations and market demands impose new models of government” took place, organized by Security Lab S.A.. A meeting aimed at companies, institutions and professionals to analyze the impact of recent regulatory developments on the management of cybersecurity, data protection and resilience of digital technologies.
At the center of the debate are the main legislative changes in the field, both European (NIS2 Directive and DORA Rules) and Swiss (LSin and LPD) that impose more stringent requirements in terms of security governance, risk management, data protection and management of the ICT supply chain.

Topics addressed

  • New regulatory obligations for Swiss organizations: it has been explored how the new regulations extend security obligations to a greater number of sectors and organizations; they require the adoption of technical measures
better performing organizations; introduce stricter sanctions and direct liability for top management.
  • Cyber Security Governance: the event highlighted the need to integrate technical, legal and organizational skills to build an effective governance model, capable of responding to the new challenges of the digital landscape.
  • Integrated approach to compliance: particular attention has been paid to the alignment between regulatory compliance and security strategies, with concrete examples on how to structure audits, internal controls and business continuity plans.

An event to prepare for the future
