The ATED association, of which we are proud Diamond sponsors, is about to launch a new specialization course in Cyber Security in the Canton of Ticino.

This initiative responds to the growing demand for skills in the cybersecurity sector and offers professionals the opportunity to obtain a level 6 qualification, equivalent to the Bachelor.

“This is an exceptional initiative to train Cyber Security Specialist in our Canton, given the chronic shortage of these increasingly sought after professional figures that forces us to import them from abroad.”

comments Alberto Redi, CEO of Security Lab Group.

The world of cybersecurity is constantly evolving, and the need for qualified professionals in the sector is increasingly pressing. For this reason, the ATED association, of which Diamond is a sponsor, has decided to launch a new specialization course in Cyber Security in the Canton of Ticino. This course, organized in collaboration with FormatI, is a unique opportunity for professionals in the sector who wish to expand their skills and help bridge the gap between supply and demand for experts in this field.

The course, with a limited number and dedicated to business security professionals, includes preparation for the federal exam to become a Cyber Security Specialist. The exam will be available in Italian and, once passed, participants will obtain the Federal Professional Certificate, corresponding to level 6 of the ISCED (International Standard Classification of Education) classification, or to the Bachelor's or equivalent.

Statistics from the International Information System Security Certification Consortium (ISC) 2 show that in 2022 the global cybersecurity workforce reached 4.7 million people, an increase of 11.1% compared to the previous year. This means 464,000 new jobs, with a growth of 12.5% in the EMEA region, where Switzerland is located. However, the shortage of personnel and skills in the sector is the highest ever recorded in the history of information technology. Despite the addition of more than 400,000 workers, the demand for new positions is growing even faster, an increase of 26% compared to the previous year.

The presentation of the Cyber Security Specialist 2023 training course will be held on May 15, from 12:45 to 13:15. To participate, you can register through this links.

Don't miss this opportunity to improve your skills and to help make the digital world a safer place.
